Opportunity

Hacking is rarely personal, and it's not logical, mostly it's a crime of opportunity.

No matter how tiny your traffic stats, if you sell on your site or not, your domain exists... therefore you are a target!

Automation

Hackers don't select sites based on size because most attacks are automated.

They're masters of automation, using bots to seek out soft and easy targets specifically to increase the odds in their favor!

Vulnerability

Hackers are always looking for an "easy mark". Updates often fix bugs & close security loopholes.

When updates aren't completed or ignored, you are providing the Opportunity for Automation to meet Vulnerability!

debra-lloyd-circ-384One of the biggest challenges when you're new, is that you don’t know, what you don’t know...

It’s a long process learning where all the trips and traps are and how to avoid them.

I remember knowing I probably should be doing something about security, but I had NO CLUE what that something should be!

So like a lot of business owners, I chose to justify sticking my head in the sand and focus on building my business instead. I was lucky though, because I finally got smart BEFORE I got hacked!

When you finally do "get" the importance of security, most likely you don't have the time, inclination or skills to take care of it yourself.

I’m not so sure it’s really a secret, but many, if not all of us, avoid even “thinking” about website security. We avoid discussing it, in fact, some folks would rather tell you their most intimate secrets and even their indiscretions (or maybe someone else’s) than talk about their website security!

One thing is for sure though, savvy business owners realize it's not the highest and best use of their time to be handling updates and security. It makes much more sense to delegate it to someone else who can give it the knowledge, skill and focus it demands to keep their business safe... and that would be me 😉

What Our Clients Say...

Sharyn Sheldon - Content Sparks"I can honestly say that Debra and her team are one of the keys to my sanity in running an online business. I've worked with different tech people in the past (including a crazy time when I did everything myself), and Debra is a completely different breed. She shines out with her attention to every little detail and her caring nature. I feel totally safe with my baby (my website) in her hands, looking after it each month and troubleshooting any issues that come up. It's a massive relief to not have to worry about all the techy stuff and to be able focus on my business instead!"

I contacted Debra after finding out that my website had been maliciously hacked! She was absolutely amazing. Her response was prompt and she explained the issues at hand in a language that I could understand. She even sent a video with some tips and recommendations and followed up with me after the issue was resolved. Debra saved me so much time (and not to mention a lot of money) but most of all, she saved my sanity as I was just a mess after finding out about the hack. Thank you, Debra!
