One of the biggest challenges when you're new, is that you don’t know, what you don’t know...

It’s a long process learning where all the trips and traps are and how to avoid them.

I remember knowing I probably should be doing something about security, but I had NO CLUE what that something should be!

So like a lot of business owners, I chose to justify sticking my head in the sand and focus on building my business instead. I was lucky though, because I finally got smart BEFORE I got hacked!

When you finally do "get" the importance of security, most likely you don't have the time, inclination or skills to take care of it yourself.

I’m not so sure it’s really a secret, but many, if not all of us, avoid even “thinking” about website security. We avoid discussing it, in fact, some folks would rather tell you their most intimate secrets and even their indiscretions (or maybe someone else’s) than talk about their website security!

One thing is for sure though, savvy business owners realize it's not the highest and best use of their time to be handling updates and security. It makes much more sense to delegate it to someone else who can give it the knowledge, skill and focus it demands to keep their business safe... and that would be me 😉
